Dear Sir,
Messrs. Butterfield & Swire have handed to us your letter to them of yesterday's date with reference to the reservoir on I.L. 1336, in which you state that the
Government has been advised that our clients have no right
whatsoever under their arrangements with the Government to
enter into an agreement for the sale of water.
We have perused the deeds and documents in the
local possession of our clients relating to the reservoir
in question, but we have been unable to find any document
containing arrangements with the Government which in any
way restrict our clients' rights.
In order that we may advise our clients fully
on the matter, we shall be obliged if you will inform us
what the arrangements in question are, and we would like
to see any documents in your possession setting out these
arrangements
Så.
Yours faithfully,
Johnson, Stokes & Master.
